JENNIFUR AND CINDERS CAT

Jennifur cat is eighteen and that
Is where Jennifur cat is currently at.
She loves to be petted
(If you are thoroughly vetted)—
An ancient and honorable, dignified cat!

Cinders, her sister, is eighteen the same,
Losing her hearing, but not halt or lame,
She leaps to the table
(as best as she's able),
And sips from your glass with aplomb and no shame!

They both like to sleep and to daintily tread
On bookcase and table, on desk and on bed,
And on carpet and litter,
Whichever is fitter,
And—oh so politely—to meow until fed!

Jennifur and Cinders have a human they keep,
Who feeds them and grooms them, and with whom they sleep;
Though with her they're smitten,
She will surely be bitten,
If she pets a slow pace or grooms fur too deep!

So, lovingly guided by cats steeped in catdom,
She searches felinity for the zen in cat wisdom,
And knows by the head butts,
And eyeblinks and hiccups,
That Jenny and Cindy will join her in God's kingdom!
