Motherhood

You are the most blessed of people,
You mothers, you bearers of children
in sweet pain.

A man can be a provider,
A lover, a protector, a guide
and wise father.

He can give safe shelter,
Hunt food, fight battles
and win wars.

He can never be a mother,
Never know the heart being split
in childbirth.

He can never grow a child,
He can only provide that child
a good path.

Motherhood is both love and heartbreak,
Where life and lifelong
are the same.
